I’ll take a pic. There’s a chip on mine that looks like clear coat came off with some carbon. They’re super shiny so not sure what’s used to make them so shiny on top (all of my other carbon bike parts have always been matte or dull finished) but the carbon inside just looks like Pencil graphite. I ordered them directly from WAO.
The finish would be due to the resin they use. I know for a fact the wheels are not clear coated. They are sold exactly how they come out of the mold. I run WAO handle bars and they have the same finish as the rims. It’s just raw carbon with a shiny finish from the resin they use.

WAO do get a quick polish after they come out of the mold, but it's still just a raw carbon and resin that give it the finish. No clear coat or paint on them.
