Volspeed v3 setup issue

Hi all, volspeed v3 on a 2021 giant trance X E+
Got the motor refitted (painful experience But got it done)
When I start the setup procedure it shows the expected 11.1kph and then just 0kph so “fails” the setup. The giant app shows green ticks for all bike components on the self check.

Has anyone seen this before?

I have been a long-time user and abuser of Volspeed 3 and have had this issue.

Excerpt from page 8 of the manual "If the display changes from 11.1 directly to 0.0, the wiring of the module is faulty. The 2-pin connector to the motor is connected to the wrong socket."

I ended up emailing where I bought it from and they set me straight.

Basically, you have 'installed' the Volsepeed correctly you just plugged it into itself and not into the motor or the wrong port...

Yeah that was my response… it reinforced what others had probably known about me all along…

As a note there is also the setup feature, but it sounds like you are doing that.
Press minus for 5secs, release minus and within 1sec press plus for 5sec.
Speed will display 11.1km/h for 10sec
10.0 km/h is displayed for 6secs, and bis is speed factor adjustment =100% I don’t think this should be changed.
