Don't do it unless you have some good experience. o_O

Talking about this:

Too much can go wrong, you are best having both wheels chocked while the bike is held in a workstand (clamped to frame), then you can control the head stock while fitting the sleeve.

Just done the head-bearings at the same time, and used the updated seals - what a nightmare routing the cables and getting the cable-rubber-seals fitted correctly. Not at all an easy job, take care when routing the cables!

Take it your bike shop, unless you have done similar before.

What on earth are you talking about?
I fitted one in on Thursday. It took litterally 5 minutes.

Only upper bearing replacement requires cable/hose disassembly.
And fitting headset cups is always easier in a workstand but definitely not essential

Photo! Thought it was me! But yes I have already posted it:
the two grommets are rubber and the cables go through holes in the rubber - pain the back side to fit and route the cables (I will get Gary to do mine next time cus I will not be touching it again, thanks, what a faffff).
