Re:Sachs I wonder 1. If that design is more robust than current motors. 2. If they had, say, half the torque rating how light could it get?

I can easily see a divergence in design in e-MTB into bigger, longer travel bikes and a more lightweight trail/down country design. I think the reason we don’t see it yet is that no-one has cracked the challenge of getting reliability and super light weight in the same package.
