170 travel means you need to be more conscious of weighting the front end to maintain grip, I found the 160 to better balanced.

Fox v Rockshox. Much of a muchness between those two. (I'd buy a Mezzer).

I've owned both the factory 36 grip2 and and 2020 Lyrik ultimates(which I've Been using for the past month).
the lyriks are half the price and just as good. In fact i'm getting more of a fun factor from the lyriks.

Would you stick with the 160 mm 51 offset ? Cheers

my lyrik is 42mm offset 160 mm travel. My fox was 51mm 160mm.
the Lyrik is more user friendly and has a lovely feel. I recommend.
the offset didn't really come into the equation when considering what fork.

The 2021 Lyrik has a different design air spring compared to the 2020 which makes it sit higher/ give more support in its initial travel, so that maybe useful for you to know as you may not need a longer travel fork.

Only because at the moment the bike came with 51 from the factory

I thought it should be kept the same ? And as it’s 29 wheels was under the impression 51 had to be used ??
Is 42 ok to use

The lyrix would be easier. I just had a fox 36 put on but it took months to get new end caps from specialized in order to fit the fox one on my 21 levo!
