Upgrading 2023 jam2 sl to transmission derailleur?

Hello all

I bought a new focus jam2 last year, the 8.7. Love the bike and want to upgrade some of the parts. I'm putting a new fork on and also going to add the new GX transmission derailleur and shifter pod.

I've read mixed things about compatibility but wonder if anyone here on this thread has specific experience with making this transmission upgrade? I'm going to buy this chainring once it's available, CR-XX-FAZ-A1. I'm not sure about the chain path But from what I can tell many have added the transmission derailleur to bikes without the correct chain path and it's worked fine.

Anyone have any information for me here? Thanks in advance! (Pic for attention )

Nice picture, but that trail is not for me. I'd be constantly looking at the view and riding off into it!
