Does anyone know where would be a good place to source a dc motor preferred 500w for my ebike. I'm trying to build it on the cheap and phoned all sorts of places like appliance scrap yards etc.
My one option is ordering from China off a website called bang good because for the motor and controler it is about R1600 around 120 dollars. But concerned with the quality they going to produce!
New DC motors here 500 w are about R4500 new and that's way out of budget. I need help to start my ebike build
