Hi all,
So I ride quite a bit, both emtb and urban city rides and was looking at buying a 2nd ride. Instead I decided to build a simple urban kit that can be swapped out in 10min or less.
It's almost complete, except last night when out on it's first city ride I ran into error code 503. My motor would only work at certain speeds and always felt like it was stuck in tour mode. Turns out when adding the new Shimano SLX rotors to the new urban wheel set I forgot that the rear rotor is Trek specific as it has the second half of the cadance magnet mounted to it. So now to complete the wheel I have to hunt down another rotor from Trek, as the bolt spacing/magnet holder are narrower on the Trek specific rotor and wider on the new SLX rotor. Unless I can simply buy a magnet and an adapter to mount to the new SLX rotor?
The things that I did to make this an urban kit are:
New Raceface Ar30 rims
Schwalbe G One 2.25 tires
Ortlieb 6 front handlebar bag
Thule rear full suspension quick mount rack
Two Ortlieb rear panniers
Shimano Deore cassette and two new SLX rotors

@Jubby if I was you I would try a centrelock - 6 bolt adapter, seems like the easiest route!
That would work too!
I would still have to find a 6 bolt rotor though, parts are hard to come bye. So for now I'm just using a loose magnet on the back of the new centerlock rotor.
