All parts will be silver, chrome. Spokes as well. The bike is in Dnister Black. This is not a cheap build, but it will still be a little less than the 9.9 XTR factory bike (including the range extender). In my opinion, it will be a much better build. I went “all in” on this one. The bike shop credited me about $1,500 for all of the take-off parts.

Large frame with pedals is exactly 42 lbs on the bike shop scale. I was hoping for 40-41 with pedals, but don’t think I’ll notice the 1-2 lb difference. Trek weighs medium size bikes, so I am guessing the weight of this build is very similar to a large XT with pedals. I am happy with the weight given I’m on a 160 mm fork, do not have an integrated bar/stem and I’m running a tire insert on the rear. I am sure I could get the weight down to 40-41 lbs if I removed the tire insert, ran lighter tires and went with the xx1 Eagle cassette; but, I wanted a little burlier build for where I ride.

I like how you went about your build. I don’t know why eMTB manufacturers don’t offer a frame only option. You’d think with all the component shortages lately, a frame only option would be a no brainer.

eMtb manufacturers also make profits from components which they bulk buy.

Where would I find this? If it is on a sticker on the shock, then I have removed all stickers from the shock.

Looks like you are using the e-thirteen chainring that came with the bike. Has that been working ok with the SRAM chain?

I would be curious about what hardware you have used to fit the X2 shock at the lower pivot?
Upper one should be the same Trunnion mount using the existing upper bolts and hat style washers, I take?
Can't find much info about the lower pivot tho, beside there is a lower bolt and nut...
Have you used any spacers, fox kits, bushings...?
Any help is appreciated.

I am not sure. I bought the 9.5 and before I ever touched or looked at the bike, the shop stripped it and built it to my specs. They did all the work so not sure what they did or parts they used.

it was nothing more than OK when I rode it. I switched to a Rockshox Super Ultimate Deluxe shock with Sprindex coil, which I like much better.

They do take a few hundred miles to break in.
