Hi I'm going to buy a bike tomorrow, both shops have them in stock in my size and model and same price, can anyone tell me any good or bad experiences they have had with either shop from buy to customer service if anything goes wrong and need a warranty claim ect...
Any info appreciated.
Cheers

E-bikeshop were helpful recently when I needed a frame replaced under warranty, and got everything sorted out efficiently. They would have swapped all the components over to the new frame for free, but I preferred to get it done locally, so they were happy to ship the frame on to me.

Think I'd be tempted to go the with the bike shop especially if it's local and the price is the same
It's always easier to talk to someone face to face if you're unluckily enough to have an issue and you won't have to pack your bike up and for shipment.

Do tredz actually have it in stock, or do they say they have it, you pay, then you wait and wait etc, until you call them and they say “yeah soz about that, must be a glitch in the system, won’t be available till 2135”.

Yeah that's been my worry today, I've had a ring around and a shop just an hour away has one in stock for me to go see Thursday, if I like it I can take it there and then. This puts me at ease as that's my biggest concern with buying online, at least this way it's an hours drive

I'm assuming from the context of the various posts that ebike shop is an actual LBS specialising in ebikes. Can you go visit the ebike shop? Whereas Tredz is an internet dealer selling everything to do with bikes and biker's needs. I believe that I would get better service from the specialist ebike seller. Those are assumptions and beliefs that need testing/confirming.

I recently had dealings with both.
Originally with e-bikeshop, what a nightmare. I'm not going to go into on a public forum but I wouldn't recommend.
Tredz on the other hand were fantastic. I called them to talk through things and they did everything they said they would exactly when they said they would.
Just a personal experience for what it's worth.
I'm sure wherever you get the bike from, the bike itself will be amazing.

Ebike shop is online aswell, so I'd be buying blind where as I can now see in the flesh and sit on the bike before buying

I'm sorted now with a shop an hour away so happy now, but saying that I've been in contact with both and got a short and sharp reply from ebike shop where as tredz have been very helpful and replyed to email ect.. if this didn't work out I'd of gone with tredz I think.
