Hi, I'm curious about upgrading the fork on my Ebike in the near future. The bike comes standard with a Fox 34 120mm travel fork. I think the offset is around 46 and the Head angle is about 67.5 degrees. I'm looking to increase travel to around 140mm. So do you think 20mm on the 2022/2023 Cube reaction hybrid 750slx (29er) would make a big deal? I know I need to pay attention to the eye to eye on the fork. As far as I am aware fox forks generally have a longer eye to eye than similar rockshox forks, but I could be wrong. I was thinking Rockshox Pike ultimate with the new charger damper. I think 140 travel would be the sweet spot, but I don't see many cube ebike hardtails with 140 travel. Let me know your thoughts?

The fox 34 is not a bad fork. I think 20mm additional travel would have negligible benefit for the cost involved and may void the warranty. If you're bottoming out a correctly set up 120mm fox 34 you may be pushing the limits of the bikes intended purpose. If you just want an upgrade for the bling factor however (completely valid reason for upgrading), maybe consider the SID or the Fox Factory in 120mm. 👍

Thank you for the advice. Do you know if Fox also do something like volume spacers for the Fox 34 AWL, so i can change the ramp of the fork towards the end of its Stoke? Perhaps that is an option, and perhaps a damper upgrade option. Honestly I don't care much about bling, lol. However I think the fox fork does look pretty good already. I would not be looking to buy a new fork, definitely way to expensive. I would only look to change it if I found a bargain in good used condition. Side note, one of my earlier hardtails had a fox factory fork, back in the day when I road a 26er and I must say that was a really nice fork, in fact properly one of the best forks I ever had.

My wife has a Cube Access (virtually the same bike as the Hybrid) and I think the forks fited to Cube's hardtail range is more about maintaining a relatively low ( compared to full sus) price point and possibly the sort of riders they are aimed at. The rest of the bike is alot more capable than the fork really allows so I definitely intend upgrading the forks on her bike at some stage. My choice would be a Rockshox Pike and probably about 140mm travel.
In your case I would consult with a suspension specialist to see how your current fork could be upgraded both in terms of performance and travel.

Thanks for the advice. I agree with you. Will see what my upgrade opinions are on the fox 34 first, and then consider a fork upgrade later on if necessary.
