Hello to you all,
I changed my rockshox on my decoy base for a fox dpx2, I do 90 kg and on the Rockshox I am 210 psi for 30% sag with 2 chips on the fox with I need 280 psi to be 35% sag

Is that a normal thing?

I know that the decoy is very progressive so I do not think it is necessary to add tokens

What are your pressures and configurations in your fox dxp2?
Thank you

I did the same swap and I put in a 0.86 volume spacer in my shock. But I like it as progressive as possible. Not sure about your pressure, seems a little high. But gotta do what is necessary to get the sag correct.

I am no expert but the shock has a max rating of 350psi. So what ever pressure you need to get to the recommended 30%. I have mine at 320psi and am running the second largest volume spacer cant remember the size though.

When I had my dxp2 on my bike I had the psi around 280ish to get the sag i wanted. Like Maherto said dxp2 shocks have max pressure at 350psi.

Between different brands it will be different to get the right sag

Okay, so it looks normal for a fox.
There is a big difference in pressure for the same person between rockshox and fox to have 30% sag.. 210 in RS / 300 in fox!

thanks

Just remember there is very regimental routine to adding air to Fox shocks … cycling it 10 times every 25 psi to equalize positive and negative air chambers. Lots of info available online

If your doing this already … then I don't have a clue why it needs such high psi

Good luck getting it right and let us know the outcome (y)

Yes I always do pressure with this method. I put 300 psi for 35 sag
The damper works like this
I think it is due to the fact that the decoy is very progressive and that the dxp2 and very sensitive in low speed
