Trance water bottle mod

Bit random but might be of interest to Trance owners. Ive managed to fit an 800ml water bottle without drilling the frame. Ive done this so on medium length rides I can loose the back pack altogether and on long range I don't need as much water/weight on my back. Need to deflate the rear shock to check clearance, probably not enough room if you've got a piggy back. Mines a 2021 e pro 3 so fits well using the Giant cage and some white plastic clips to secure the cage that came in my accessory pack, which I don't know what there for, possible cable clips, but anyway, may be of interest

I have a similar problem on my Avanti Hammer-E.
Used aSyncros side mount cage with a small spacer under the bottom mount and a little slot to allow it to be pivoted slightly.

Nice, Did you get an 800ml to fit ?

Yes, but not all 800's. Also have a little bracket that will drop the bottle about 30mm which still gives me shock clearance and will allow even my 1L bottle to fit. Was about $3.50 off Aliexpress. Didn't need it, but handy to have in the kit in case I do.

That's handy to know, I didn't realise they made stuff like that, would make my mounting more secure possibly

For sure.
If you put a couple washers - even a nut off a presta valve under the bottom mount of your cage it should remove that slight touch, which will rub through the coat.

Here's what I use on my Trance X 29 (2) analog bike...it lowers the cage by @1" by welding the tabs higher in the cage.
