Torque On/Spectral On Battery covers

Hi,
Wondering if anyone can say for definite weather the Torque battery cover is the same as the 2020 Spectral battery cover.
It's the same short bt-e8035 504wh battery and it looks the same in the picture on the canyon website.
Canyon online chat say it's not the same but I have a feeling that they don't actually know that, it's just that it has a different part number.
Canyon only have the torque (504wh) short or 2021 spectral (625wh) longer battery covers available.
I want to get one for a second battery, save changing the cover over.

Thanks in advance

Cheers
Chris

Sorry, didn't make that too clear. I have a 2020 Spectral On. Covers are not available for it. I was hoping the torque one is the same. So I could do with someone with a torque to measure there battery cover/ post a photo of it with battery attached.
Thanks

Here are two different color options for the Spectral:ON

I got one for my 2021 model, I think they are the same on 2020 model or are the battery cover mounting hole at different spacing on the 8035 battery?

2021 cover is longer for the longer battery.
My bike (2020 spectral) shares a battery with the torque.
Canyon customer service have told me the the cover is not available for my bike and that the cover for the torque battery is different.
I think the cover for the torque looks as though it will work though.

I own a Torque:ON 8 and here are the measurements of the battery cover (Shimano BT-E8035 504w, not the -L edition) :
  • Length : 38cm
  • Width : 9,3 cm
  • Depth : 1,7 cm

Hope I can contribute solving your issue @Workshy.

Now here's some tidbit: I ordered a spare battery cover back in spring 2021 from the Canyon service center. At that time, this item was not directly available for sale online, and cost me 8,95€ excluding shipping. I had to buy 4 additional M4X10 ISO 14580 Torx inox screws, at 0,10€ a piece, in a hardware store. So less than 10€ all included (plus time in the hardware store i guess?). The same pack is now sold by Canyon for 50€. Don't know if I had an amazing deal from the Service center at the time, or if inflation struck hard on battery covers and torx screws.

Thanks very much for those pictures, they show that it is very close and could be made to work, but I'm not spending £50 to then have to file the plastic down to make it fit. At £8.95 I definitely would have, but not at £50
Hopefully they'll get more in at some point, untill then I'll just swap the cover over.
