Anyone used SGS Engineering tool chests? Looking at fitting out a new studio workshop and they look nice (at least in the pics!) and the price seems reasonable compared to some other named brands.

Looks fantastic.
I like the capacity, awesome looks, roller bearings, and it's mobile.

If they make accessories in the same finish, I would add a paper towel holder to mount on the end(s), and maybe a holder to cans/strips/towels.

I think these are the ones that GMBN use, might be worth dropping them a line and asking.

I have used them for a smaller tool chest. The product is fine with some good features but the shipping was a nightmare given it was around 30+ kg and single crewed DHL(?) are only allowed a maximum 25kg.

I got a txt tracking it. The van turns up. The guy goes in the back and 5 minutes later he’s still there. I stick my head out the door and ask him if he’s having problems. Cant find it he says. It a tool chest says I. Oh yes I left that back at the depot, it’s too heavy. What? You were looking for a parcel that you knew wasn’t there and even drove here to not find it. ?‍♂️??‍♂️

Have a look at the Hilda range at Costco, they are often on offer.

I may have gone overboard here but this has turned into the neighborhood hangout for eMTB.

The roller cabinet holds lots of bike stuff and tools (72”). I like it because I can clean behind or move it out to the middle of the garage. I picked mine up at Home Depot several years ago. Magnetic paper towel holder too. ?

I have the smaller rolling tool chest and it's been fine, quality piece of kit for the money, seem to remember it being a lot cheaper, probably had it 5 years or so. I also have one of their compressors, delivery for both items was fine, think the compressor came on a pallet from memory, not sure on the tool chest, but cannot recall any issues with it.

They stock them at Homebase every now and then Ultimate Storage 72 Inch Tool Trolley 15 Drawer and I've eyed up one up a few times but haven't sorted the home workshop out so didn't pull the trigger.

Look decent enough though. A prof Mechanic Snap on fanatic will tell you otherwise though mate i'm sure...

Was after one also for the new bike cave (it's a big space) but been too busy and not down there with the lockdown.

Like @Stihldog our cave is a bit of a social hub in normal times...

Cheaper than an eMTB ??.
I had purchased the metal cabinets pre-stroke. I strapped the walls and installed everything after I recovered. Couldn’t use my left side at the time and had to learn to ride again. There’s a bit more to it. Still park the car in the front of the garage …no problem. I suppose I could sleep here if I had too.

@Rob Rides EMTB will you actually be able to get that into the studio? You could look at getting a nice wooden worktop/workbench and a couple of units under each end?

My preference has always been to build a separate worktop that you can fix vices etc into, with tool chests underneath that can be pulled out and moved around. You can also fix in things like powerbanks. and USB chargers etc

Hafele do a decent range of built in power modules for worktops, including wireless charging pads etc.
