The detent on the compression dial on my fork was not working so following the Fox instructions I dismantled it for a cleaning session. There was a tiny steel ball (ca. 1mm dia) that was a key part of the action. Of course I dropped it onto a concrete floor! I could imagine how far it would bounce but not at what angle. I stood still and looked around, nothing. I got onto my hands and knees and searched slowly and thoroughly, nothing. I went for a magnet and searched again, nothing. My garage is 18 feet square and looks like Steptoe's yard, so I was slowly losing all hope. One last chance, I fetched a small but very bright Maglite torch and started again. Underneath one of the curved feet of my Black & Decker Workmate was a tiny glint of reflected light. Yep, there it was. Lucky, lucky!

I dropped half a quick link about 6 months ago. It still hasn’t turned up. 🤬

About that rattle you've been hearing.....
Ha! Yes! That’s where the cap for my shock went on my SC. I’d searched and searched the floor - even under the WorkMate 🤣

Anyhoo, the frame was rattling a bit and I eventually took off the wheels to turn the frame every which way and …..

Out fell the culprit, that cap 🙄

….. and that little rubber stopper thingy that fits in the hole in the battery cover where you push in the hex key to remove the battery…. 🤡

I lost my Japanese mitre square i used to set up fences on my machinery. Not expensive item, about 20 quid but invaluable. I searched for years, been in every box, machine cabinet, everywhere, and thought it had gone out with the woodshavings.
Then one day i moved the planer/thicknesser and the wheels were catching on something. A lump underneath the lino flooring right in a corner. Lifted up and lo and behold :D
