Levo Gen 3 The worst designed part of my Specialised - is this battery cover. Which has now come off permanently. Any idea where to get a new one?

You should get a new improved one (with a hinge) at any Specialized dealer under warranty ...

Oh is it a know issue?

I thought I might just have low tolerance to crap design, but if I can warranty it I will! Bike is 2.3 years old I reckon

Just an FYI - got this fixed easily under warranty at the place I bought it from - it's still badly designed but it is better!

I have the same older version, and the door fell off after some time. I fixed it with Gorilla Tape, and it's working pretty well now. I also bought a new cover, which I used to convert my old M2 battery to an M3. By the way, I broke the cover at the bottom, but Gorilla Tape fixed that too :).

View attachment 138478 Useless design. Mine got lost on the first ride! It can be replaced under warranty, but it is like tongue-kissing your sister twice if not more. Over here, I have to pay for the newer spring-loaded door. So I asked some questions. Whereas I thought the spring would keep the door from opening up (making the latch less prone to movement), it is (apparently) designed to snap open 180 degrees, thereby preventing it from being hit by the pedal. If I'm correct, there is still a slight (albeit very very small) chance of it opening on a downstroke. By rotating the battery, they could have positioned the charge port higher up on the frame. Which also means a shorter cable for a range extender. But what do I know....
