Between bicycles and motorcycles this reminds me exactly why I moved from a similar climate to Southern California the first year I was a legal adult, about 40 years ago. I'll be heading out for a ride later today when it warms up from the current chilly 55 F. Brrr....

I don’t recommend this to anyone.

No studded tires but the snow needs to be fairly dry or find some skidoo tracks to follow. Snowshoe’rs can be an obstacle.

Some tires have a rubber compound that works in the snow, some just fail miserably. People think it's about the tread, and that does help, but the rubber is the unsung hero.

Hit a patch of ice last week. I saw it coming but it was almost impossible to keep the bike and myself upright. Was kinda funny.
This is a photo from last year but this was the icy spot. One foot forward and three backwards. Needed studs here…or sharper fingernails.
