my bike does 31 miles on the bosch 500wh - and it makes no difference if I turbo the whole time or ECO the whole time (apart from how long it takes) this is for Vert 2400feet.

You don’t half spout some shite. Range alters massively with assistance level.

Maybe in your experience - but not in mine ( only 320 miles so far) - I carry a 400wh spare battery and my last 2 rides were IRO 40 miles on the same terrain, but the first ride was at 12.4Avg MPH and the second was 8MPH average. and on both rides the 500wh battery lasted 31 and 32 miles, respectivly.

Given what I had read on this forum I expected the slower ECO ride to make it do more miles before it ran out - but turns out that is all made up crap by idiots that dont know what they are talking about

So range varies depending on the given terrain not the assistance level used.

Well, that sums up most of your contributions to the forum so far.

Range is affected by many factors but to suggest that Eco and Boost will produce the same range is something that even the people trying to sell eBikes disagree with.

Yet again, I would suggest you ride some challenging terrain on Shrek and get back to us.
As an example, my last ride was 13.5 miles and 2700 ft of climbing.

The only way I can think that you could get the same or similar range on the same route out of different assistance levels would be to accelerate quickly to the assistance limit and then consistently ride above the 25kph limit. If that were the case here though surely you’d be getting way more than 31 miles total range, and the average speed would be higher too? Fundamentally though you can’t cheat physics; more power delivered by the motor = more amps drawn = reduced range.

The remaining range is based on how you have been riding the bike. If you've been blasting up hills in Turbo it will show the range as if you continue to do so.

This surprised me it was a back to back ride with a 2019 fsr carbon levo and both our batteries died within a few hundred yards of each other, we both did a fair few miles with the power off to get this milesage though, there is nothing like being 10 miles from home and only having 3 miles range to get you saving the power for the hills.
