Tempted by a Levo Expert but I am struggling to justify it!

Good advice, we don't need the same bike at all it's just that we both really like that design but I must admit I still think even with that discount £6000 is too much money I would prefer it to be around the £4000 to £5000 mark!

Linda has an early 2016 Haibike which she loves but it would be nice to get her a bit more power a smoother motor and a bigger battery, as for myself I have never had an ebike so I reckon a 500wh battery would be fine for me and saving money would be fab :) but there are so many out there aren't there, I do like Giant bikes but they are still expensive aren't they!

Any suggestions for good quality cheaper options with good warranty/back up

I may be biased as an owner but I’d still go out and buy my Focus Jam2 if I had to buy again.
2018 model I paid £2800 from J EJames.
Upgraded to Yari fork £399
TEC pack £450

That’s £3649 for a bike that can have a 378wh battery or just pop the TEC pack on and have 756wh for an all day ride. Don’t really see anyone reporting issues with them and the are great to ride.

Although I do like the look of that EZesty

Well I have decided I don't want to spend over £6000 on a Levo and the Focus sounds great but I would prefer to use a dealer closer to me so I am going to check out the Giant Trance as there is a dealer near me and I will be saving over £2000 plus I like the look of their bikes :)

I really like that E Zesty but isn't that over £6000 as well!

Hi guys where to start :) I am 58 years old slim and fit I have a Whyte 130 S Yari and really like it I ride with my wife Linda who has a Haibike which she adores I also ride with a couple of friends who have normal mtb's and we get out on the north York moors and do some great off road rides, they are tough but I do them no problem.

Now here is the thing, my wife keeps saying I should get an ebike as I had a knee operation on my cartilage a few years ago and she thinks it will just give me so much fun on the trails and be easier on my knees, so stupidly I have been looking on this forum and guess what I have totally fallen for the Specialized Turbo Levo Expert but crikey they are expensive aren't they!

Linda loves them as well and she fancies a bigger battery so she doesn't have that range anxiety so what did I do today I went into a Specialized shop and said if I bought two what deal would they do for me, so they said they would give me 15% off if I bought two which knocks off around £1100 on each bike which I reckon is a decent deal, but the problem I am having is do I do it and what will I do when I ride with my friends as I would feel bad going up hills, I am wrestling with myself here, is it time for me to give in to this and get one/two :)
hi I have not read the whole thread as I am lazy and this question might have already been answered, have you ridden an ebike yet if you haven't once you ride one you won't care about your friends on the hill trust me

I am a big fan of the Focus, but the TEC pack makes it handle like a pig on technical stuff, I would strongly suggest testing one with the TEC pack on the bike.

Haibike are now doing a similar thing using their MRS system which takes the range to 1000wh on their 2109 Bosch Bikes, and is a bit better integrated imo. Still wouldn't want to take it down a technical track.
