TEC Pack - What's Inside?

I was always rubbish at, but I flew remote controlled helicopters for a few years a good few years ago.

In search of better energy density, many with deep pockets were using flight packs comprising Lithium-Polymer batteries. Special care was required. Others, including me, were assembling their own battery packs using 26650 Li-ion 3.7V cells. Soldering cell connectors and balance taps wasn't all that difficult.

Does anyone know exactly what is inside a TEC pack i.e. cell type, cell count and balancing hardware?

Just daydreaming here. But wondering if, outside of warranty, disassembling a TEC pack and reassembling into a nicer form factor could be an option.

It is Italian company called E-booz. Althoug they have only 250w option to Shimano available. I send them(actually today) a inquiry when the 378w option available.

30ea 3500mah 18650 cells arranged in 10s 3p, or 10.5AHr at 36v nominal, and a BMS designed to comunicate with the Focus Jam's Shimano STePs E8000 system. There is a thread that shows an opened T.E.C. pack and I believe it names the brand of cells used.

Let us know how you get on, i would be happy with the 250w but all I have heard about Ebooz is bad press on delivery.

So, with the newest Panasonic 4050maH cells, it *should* be possible to upgrade both fram-internal battery and TEC pack to 437Wh from 378Wh (minus wear and tear).....
(a 15.7% increase from original battery sze)
