Suntour Aion forks on the E+3

Over here in NZ we only have the 1 & 3 models. The main difference seems to be the front fork. Anyone used the Suntour fork & found it lacking? If it was branded Fox or Rockshox would we even notice?

I briefly tried the Aion a few months ago. It worked quite well. Initial stroke felt very active and I was expecting to blow through the travel at the first bigger hit. But that didn't happen, midstroke support was pretty good. It's a sturdy fork. Front wheel tracking could be a bit better.
