Do your ebike ride log on to strava and create them yourself it’s easy I mentioned it in another post on this thread

please note not sure if you didn’t know how to do this or you meant you wanted strava to do it for us
So apologies if you did know
I think he means automatically ..

There is this method if anyone feeling a bit more adventurous :

Garmin automatically uploads my rides to strava so I'll keep my free account. It still shows if I did a PR and that's all I really care about. Not for the wank factor but just to see if my riding is actually improving.

...For what it really gives in real world terms for most people, €7 a month seems a bit steep. If it was priced more like the forum subscription at €6 a year, I'd definitely be in . I can get a mobile phone contract with 2 hours free calls to europe/us/canada for €2 a month . I'm not paying €80 a year just to see that I'm the 49,628 best rider on a segment.
I guess they tried that with the "bucketed" Summit packs already; it can't have worked or they wouldn't have changed to this one-size-fits-all subscription model. I think this is extremely tough for them, they have created a very popular service but not one that is valued enough for most casual athletes to pay for it.

So we're refering to tightwads on Ebikes as "athletes" now are we?

TBH none of the people I asked have ebikes; they are all runners, cyclists or triathletes. Athletes is just what Strava call their users, I guess I drank a bit too much of the cool-aid whilst reading the announcement... ;)

I just think starva should do it for us and transfer mountain bike to ebike.

I think their new pay for KOM’s service is the go for most Strava freaks.
I really don’t give2 shits about Strava and it’s highly gospel leaderboards ect, so will stick with the free version.

Only used it to share and to copy other rides. What to use now?

You could, you know, just go ride and not bother with all the stats and details. Everyday life is full of stats and details. Get on the bike and set yourself free. STRAVA has done NOTHING positive for the sport of MTB except for busying the trails with “racers” going for KOM’s by braiding trails/cutting corners for faster times and in some cases even getting trails and trail networks closed down for various reasons.

STRAVA, don’t do it.?

Same here. Did the minimum 2.99€ subscription to be able to download gpx files. The monthly debit was low enough for me to not be bothered costing out whether I was getting my money's worth.

The increase to full rate means that I can now cancel without having to think too hard about it.

I was also pretty pissed that the Strava exchange rate equates the euro with the US dollar. Fuck that!

I've not been downloading many Strava routes recently - only two this year. I'll just go back to creating my routes manually if I spot a good one.

I use my Stratos 3 watch to record rides, as it has built in GPS. It then uploads, to strava I've asked it to do.

Works for me, and I don't always record rides... So I'm out. I won't be investing.
