I’m not too worried about the charging of the derailer AXS battery but rather the loss of the battery during a ride or crash. I lost the cage over the derailer battery once after a crash. I didn’t notice until I got home.

I purchased a tighter fitting, and red, cage from Amazon for about $10.

The price of that cable though …wow!
