Sram AXS, distance between controller and derailleur

Does anyone know how far the AXS controller can be away from the deralleur and still make consistent contact? Will it work on a tandem?
Cable stretch can be an issue on Tandems and this could be the answer to smooth shifting.

It works fine from quite a distance away from the bike

About 10m I think so should be ok for at least quadem if there is such a thing!!
