My older bike today, my 29er rear wheel all the spokes are loose again and making the rim wobble. This has been a major problem with my bike, I am on the 3rd wheel right now. Seems the spokes just go loose after a few hundred miles. This is on a stumpjumper conversion bike.

Sometimes an upgrade from 28 spokes to 32 spokes is necessary. A proper calibration for a spoke tension meter might help. Sometimes new spokes become loose after a few rides. Re-tensioning may be necessary to prevent a cascading effect for other spokes.

I’ve increased to 32 spokes for the rear wheels on both bikes. And check regularly.
