Hi, I am going to fit a speedbox to my 2019 Cube Hybrid Pro, Would there be any benefit fitting a speedbox 3 or will the speedbox 2, do everything I want?

Speedbox 3.0 is the latest version and good for 2014 on.

Hi Darren, Is there any benefit of the Speedbox 3 over the Speedbox 2 on a older Bosch gen motor.
The Speedbox 3 is £30 dearer, do I get anything extra?. Thanks Chris.

i’ve no need for a Speedbox but I’m quite interested in how the tech works so have read quite a bit about it.

You can download the Speedbox app on iOS / android and check out the demo mode. It works with the “B-tuning” version which sends Bluetooth info from your bike to your phone. Top of the range box and quite pricey.


If you don’t think you will get use out of the Bluetooth version then Box 2.0 is suitable for a 2019 bike. Box 3.0 Is for a Gen 4 motor and will not give you any additional features at all.

Goodafternoon, I just installed a speedbox 2 - 3.0 chip and noticed that the max battery-range in turbo mode now displays only 35km, when before I reached 65km! (in eco 60km instead of 135km)
Is it normal that the difference is that big?

I suspect once you ride it a few times it will recalibrate and go back to normal
