About to order a 2019 Spectral:ON 6.0.
Can anyone give an approximate range on a running in ECO mode on the shimano STEPS system ?
Just basic fire road/light trails etc. I know range can be very subjective due to many factors, just looking for
a rough guide of what to expect.

My old Giant Stance Yamaha SyncDrive got my about 60miles using 75% battery on a 500wH, mainly running on ECO mode.

As you say, it's subjective ... so the how long is a piece of string answer is ...

Approximately .... you'd "probably" expect to get similar results. If you found you weren't getting the range in eco that you wanted, you could install stepsunlocker on android or iOS and fine tune the amount of assistance offered in Eco, ie - reduce it from the standard amount until you got the range you wanted - obviously at the expense of having to pedal slightly harder. It might be that by default the Yamaha offers less assistance in Eco than the Shimano.

You're about the same weight on the new bike as you were on the old bike. The bikes are within a few kg's of each other. The motors are both similar power outputs and both bikes have similar battery capacity. Assuming the tyres are similar in rolling resistance ... all in all, it's going to be much the same.

I usually climb 1500 ft on a 20 mile with a bike. With the spectral on I got 4400 ft on a 30 miles ride using 80% of the time on eco mode, so would guess that to get 60 miles you would have to be on flatlands with tailwind.

Its always a compromise! I would not have fun running only 20% of assistance on such a long ride.
To extend my range I took a spare batterie on a ride last week, on a tiny empty camelback. It did not bother after three hours and could have given me 80km with 2k hight with lots of trail and boost assistance.
Did climbs that are humanly impossible on an spectral ebike without assistance.

if it helps any...turbo mode at 73 kg, 1 battery, 25 miles. In swapping between all 3 modes 30 miles and in just eco nearly 38 miles.

In first try on trails:
Rider :68kg
Terrain: mudfest and wet
Total climb: 1200m
Total distancie: 43km
Total time: around 3h

I ride with dynamic mode, maybe 80% in trail mode, and other 20% in Boost and sometimes off. After that, I realized that I can make some changes in the values of each mode in order to get more autonomy, for example boost mode 300% of assistance is ridiculous, I lowered to 200% and reduced the torque a little to 65. In eco mode met values 80% / 50, the idea is to ride most of the eco laps, I think with these values or something less with a range of 50km. But I'm also still in the testing phase, setting the uphill, rails and autonomy modes I want for most laps

Had my Spectral On 6 (2019) for 12 months now and i think the battery is definitely not as good as it was before.

I went on a ride today, and the battery was dead at:

Distance: 29 miles (46.6 km)
Climbing: 1000 ft (304m)
Riding time: 2hrs 30 minutes
My weight: 16 stone (101 kg)
