Spectral:ON 2023 Cracked battery case

After driving about 300 km, I noticed that the battery housing was cracking at the screw connections.
Has anyone else noticed similar damage?

Is this the brand new model with EP801 motor? Battery looks like previous one and doesn't changed since 2022/2023

Batteries are the same since introduction. This is what Canyon told me.

Yesterday I also discovered some cracks (6 in total) on my 720 battery. Did fill in the Canyon contact form send photos. Within two hours a reply that this is not normal and that a new battery is on his way.

And they will contact me what to do with the old one. Not allowed to use it. No problem for me. I have an other 720 and 900 battery so still can use the bikes ;-)

Makes you wonder about bikes with batteries that can't be removed and inspected for damage.

a lot of shock and vibration is going through those casings, any slight imperfections could lead to cracks
