Specialized/Trek/Giant/Scott?

Hello All,
Still shopping for our first emtb.
Since I started with Specialized vs. Giant, then added Trek, should Scott be in the equation as well? (All interest is focused on full suspension).
Availabilty is crazily scarce here in socal so ultimately the decision might lie in whats available.
Any thoughts?

have a 2020 turbo levo comp, been great. Went thru a motor at 1500mile but I think they finally have the bugs worked out with a update. Probably have 1500 on the new one already.

I like Giant for reliability( my 2020 has 9 months zero issue). In my area we can put a deposit for some 2021 model if our size will come in but you need to check with LBS, they have say week 32 or x.

I recently got a scott - mainly because it checked all the boxes and it was available. It is noticeably less lively than my analogue Trek fuel.

One of my main concerns is the ability to either put a range extender on the bike or carry an extra battery. I don’t know how the specialized folks do that cause it looks like the battery is not accessible but I really don’t know.

well why not add orbea, vitus, cube, radon, YT, canyon...? (probably others I have missed off)

but the point i'm getting at, why focus on 3 brands?

what's your background, have you been into mountain biking for years, or are you new to it? If you're new just get whatever's available they are all good, you won't notice the difference anyway

Been mb'ing since I was 14 (54 now), only analog. Own a 25 yo Rockhopper that squeaks and squeals. I mostly ride up a steep mountain and then rocket back down the same way I came up.
Yes, there are plenty other bikes but they're either too expensive (Cube, Orbea etc.), or not available within months.
I definitely need two bikes before summer for my wife and me, so whatever is local and availble I will have to jump on. DOesn't look like a Scott is in my area anyway

There really is no substitute for being able to sit on the bikes you are considering - they all have different geometry that you will notice immediately.

Also depends on what brand has the best support at your LBS.
