Specialized SL Levo extender battery range? 2021 bike

Hi Does anyone know what sort of max range I can eke out of my SL Levo range extender battery. I am doing the Cairngorns circular (bikepacking) in May and the longest distance is 38 miles in one day. I reckon the main battery might do 30 miles if lucky (given the climbs) plus the extender battery might give me the extra juice given that I will ride with battery turned off on the downhill and flat (and easy up hill).

How long is a piece of string?! It will very much depend on how much effort you put in versus letting the motor do more assisting?

If you reckon you can get 30 miles from the 320Wh main battery, you should be able to get another 10 to 15 with the range extender (160Wh) included, even allowing for getting tired.

At least the Levo SL is nice to pedal with a flat battery, I’ve taken mine on a couple of 50 mile routes, nothing like the Cairngorms though, but I ran out of water before battery!

Range is a combination of amount of climb, rider fitness/effort, rider weight.

Could you pedal the route on a non e-bike? If so, you can do it on a LSL. Do you regularly kill the battery after 10 miles on a towpath? If so you won’t do it.

My experience (mildly fit rider, not fat) is I can do 25 miles/3500ft on the internal battery, so would expect to get 30-40miles/4500ft(ish) with the RE as well.

The good news is they pedal really well with the motor off.
