500Wh should work well :)
only 'bad' thing that battery is the same length and have the same weight distribution as 700.
(so the same amount of cells, just lower capacity i guess)

700 watts 3977 g
500 watts -3120 g
=857 g difference
I am speculating a 400 watts battery would weight 2691.5 g

I am thinking a 400 watts battery will bring my Levo s2 to 20 KG

Why would I want a lighter Ebike, because I want a full power ebike sub 20 kilo

this week I am going to remove front brake cylinder, disk, dropper post , cassette and cables and covert my Levo to single speed and install fast rolling 2.3 tires

I will report back in 7 days, right now my Levo 2023 s2 is about 23 KG.

Once I am done with the project, I will put back all the hardware back.

I am waiting for demo days to try the new bosh sx.

cheers

Hello Specialized

Could you please manufacture a 400-watt battery for Levo and Kenevo? Why because I prefer to have a one hour or more rides with a lighter e-bike
???? Your bike is never to heavy, you are just to weak. Do yourself a favor, go watch some motorcycle trails videos on YouTube. Those bikes weigh way more than your little e bike.

Maybe hit the gym and work on some bike handling skills. Spend some time working your bike through, over and around stuff you don’t normally ride….. just saying

All specialized battery's already output 400w or more. Unless you somehow want to limit your battery to only 400w? I which case why not just use the power modes to lower the power????

I think he is looking to create a lighter ff by having less battery capacity. Seems unlikely to happen given Specialized make a SL with a 320wh battery already

Specialized could easily make a 2KG 400Wh battery using the latest 21700 5.8Ah cells.

SRAM’s new 630Wh battery is 3.1KG (203Wh per KG).

ehh? ive never heard of any ebike battery outputting only 320w, like most ebike batteries can easily do 1,000w or more.

yes, lighter batteries will have less capacity, but 320w output is not even half a hp for crying out loud

even the smallest range extenders that are like 200wh can easily output 700w+ of power

He means wh. The Levo SL and KSL both come with 320wh batteries and range extenders. So his reasoning is that Spesh aren't going to make a 400wh battery for an existing bike when they already sell a "lightweight" bike with a smaller/lighter battery.

Yeah, people got to be more clear as W (watts) and Wh (watt hour) are Two very, VERY different things.........

It's a very small market, but you are not alone. I'm interested in something similar, but smaller. I was thinking something around 200-250Wh but the current SL 320Wh battery size would work. I have some regular rides that I'm only using 10-20% of my 700Wh battery. On those rides, I'd prefer to lighten the load. Dropping 5 lbs would be great. The new Levo SL, with the 1.2 motor, would accomplish this task for me. I'm not ready to spend the cash just yet.

Specialized battery weights:
500Wh - 2.9 kg (6.39 lb) (3.15 kg with hardware)
700Wh - 3.6 kg (7.93 lb) (3.85 kg with hardware)
SL batteries:
160Wh extender - 1.05 kg (2.31 lb)
320Wh - 1.8 kg (3.97 lb)

I am in the same situation, don't want to spend $ but if I have spare $$$$$$ I would get a SL
