I think I am landing on getting a Levo FSR as my first ebike for mostly trail riding with a few bike park visits. I'm just wondering which model to get with a budget of £3.5 to £5k. Is it worth going for a discounted 2017 or have the changes made it better to go for a 2018 model. Thanks in advance.

Hello @galaga187, I'd say with the budget go for a 2018. The 1.3 motor is a good upgrade over the older 1.2 on the 2017 models.

I think that the bang for buck best in the range is the £4250 Comp model and you may be able to get some money off if you need it.

Cheers,
Rob.

I picked up a 2017 on close out for $1k off. While I haven’t had any issues with it and have no complaints at all, I still wish I would have got the 2018 for the new motor and slightly bigger battery.

'18 is better but they are also hard to get. I bought the wife a '18 base and put my left over revelation fork and guide brakes on it. I just found a dropper for 108 so that is on order. If you're wanting to save some money buy the base and upgrade the suspension. The comp suspension sort of sucks anyway so if you ride hard you will be upgrading quickly. I've swapped out fork for lyrik and shock for fox factory on my comp. As for the battery it's still got pretty good range even on the base.

Thanks all for the feedback - I think I'm set on the 2018. I can get a staff discount on the instock Comp Carbon but can't find a place where I can get a discounted Compl Al. I'm wondering if I should wait for the 2019 to drop as the 2019 stumpy has just been announced.
