Soft paint? 2020 Trance E+1 pro paint chips

not sure if this is normal or not as this is my first bike that was painted like this. I have just under 500 miles on mine and noticed a bunch of paint chips in areas I wouldn't think would be hit by trail debris. Around the bottom area of the shock mostly and a few other areas. Anyone else noticing this? It not that big of a concern but just kind of disappointing. I haven't crashed the bike either.

I think all bikes do this . That's why people wrap there bikes . I used ride wrap . I saw a levo at the bike store the other day that was pretty chipped up . If it bothers you maybe you could just wrsp the bits that bother you like top tube with heli tape .

I've had a chip near the rear linkage, I think caused by a rock being picked up, then trapped in the moving linkage.

The area around the bottom shock mount acts like a storage area for gravel and stones... I was forever picking stuff out of it on my Trance. It’s a downside of the Maestro design.

2019 Trance chips with the slightest knock, right down to bare metal.

My 2011 reign paint is much thicker and hardier. 2019 trance E paint is poor quality in comparison

Yes, for sure. My 2019 Trance E +2 even came new with a couple of chips.

the paint job on my Reign ain't that good. The one side of the frame near the head tube has this very rough raw feel to it and seems like it was never clear coated. Pretty shoddy spray job
