I recently started having a weird issue. Searching here and online it seems like these chargers are cursed. Mine has an issue I've seen in other posts. You are supposed to connect it to the battery then to power. When I do so the charger flashes red then green then off. The bike does not light up either to show that the charger was connected. However, if I push the power button on the bike the bike lights up as if it was charging and the charger flashes red. Then both the bike and charger LEDs turn off. But, the bike does charge. I can only validate this by leaving it plugged in and then checking the charge level on the display or the app after a while. This is annoying, but not really a problem if it works.

But, I also have the EnergyPak Plus 200Wh Battery Range Extender. When I do the same process the battery does not start charging. When I push the power button on the battery to try to jumpstart the charging like I do with the bike The battery pack lights up as if it's being turned on, not being charged and the charger does nothing. I can leave it like this forever and it does not charge. Currently the battery pack has four bars of power. I'm wondering if I run it all the way down if that could somehow trigger the charger to start working again with the energy pack? Also I'm wondering if there's any way to check the energy pack through the app or plug it in to something. I'm pretty sure it's just a dumb battery with no connectivity, but it would be nice to see you what the charge level and battery health is.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do? Do I just need to buy a new charger? I would hate to buy one of these and have it fail again, which seems like the current state of things. Or, does anyone know if Giant is replacing these under warranty still? The bike is out of warranty but this is obviously a faulty product.
