By the time I was 17 I joined an industry far more important than NASA…The arcade vending industry. My first repair was the video game Pong.

That's hella cool. My early Pong console had to be wired into the antenna of the television. My good friend from high school also chose to forego a career as a rocket scientist, and handles machines in Vegas. I always think of him in the context of the movie "Casino." I'd never ask, but I think he carries a hammer and a circular saw in his tool bag, in case he runs into dishonest customers. I was also going to be a rocket scientist, but fell in with a bad crowd and now I'm a degenerate mountain biker. C'est la vie.

The writing was on the wall when they soon didn’t need technicians and pcb’s became module replacement. How I ended up in the logging industry as a west coast faller is a long story (musta been fairly good cause I’m still alive).
