Shimano Zee brakes better bite?

I have a set of Zee brakes on my EMTB they are ok but just can’t get the same bite as I did when I have XT before. Before shelling out on XT is there any advice to improve the bite, they are bleed correctly etc.

Are the pads the same?
I'm pretty sure Saint/zee are the same mechanically as XT

Upgrade to metal pads, that will help bite instantly
