Shimano warranty

I've seen a new e8000 motor on ebay in Germany. I'm in the UK, would the warranty be valid?

So long as you buy it from a genuine shimano dealer. Yes.

Thanks, I contacted the seller and he said there was no warranty, I don't think he's a authorised dealer. Don't think it's worth the risk.

I got one from Germany also today I will call Shimano and give them the serial number and see how it goes
Anyway i am getting rid of this unreliable bike with a new motor

If you want a "legal" motor with warranty you may buy from Commencal

The place in Germany has 150 motors he must be commercial. Now I have to talk to Shimano about setting Wheel circumference and speed limit here in US is 20mph not 15mph

Once I asked to a shop in Germany, selling in ebay and in his web, and they saids that the motors were old version with old FW and no Shimano warranty and I ended up buying in Commencal web. I hope your store is not where I asked and you have warranty and Shimano support.
