Shimano battery connector

Could someone have a look at the battery connector on their Shimano BT-8035 504Wh battery?

l've noticed one of my connectors is lower than the other, and l wondered if this was a fault caused by overheating of the connector and it's melted the plastic?

Here is my connector that accepts 8036 or 8035-L batteries if it helps. The right most connector should be lower than the left most.

Looks like it's normal, that's good news.

Perfectly normal. If you look at the charger you'll see the same thing.

I think the idea I that the 0v line is connected first.

Yeap, the negative pole is the longer one.
