Hello
I‘ve just got £750 on the Cycle2Work screen and was thinking of getting some accessories and potentially a Shimano Linkglide upgrade if/when these become available. However, open to ideas.. what do people recommend for this budget as upgrades to my SC Bullit XT Air?
cheers,
UV

wouldn't bother with linkglde unless the current XT drivetrain is worn out - as linkglide is 11 spd iirc you would likely need new shifter, mech, cassette and chain - a lot of money for negligible gain, it would take a long time for any increases in durability to offset the cost of have to change most of the drive train

if you are still running the super deluxe shock, that would be my first port of call, eiethr swap it out for a float X2 or if you don't want to spend that much, put a meg neg air can on - i've had 3 diff SC bikes with a super deluxe on and the meg neg has improved all of hem and only cost c £90

personally, after that i'd swap out the brakes for saints - they are deff more powerful than the XT / SLX 4 pots, if happy with the breaks wheels would be my next call

Coil would be thought.
On an XT build I can’t see many immediate upgrades. How long is the dropper? I just put 210mm on mine, so good.
Cushcore are a must so do that and then maybe some new rubber and a couple of chains for future use??

What size frame do you have? Interested in a longer dropper as that’s one of the things I don’t like.

I also have an XT air build and I went for a second 630wh battery as my first upgrade. I have a 700w Levo also and the range from the EP8 system is not great. 2nd battery fixes that.

Hi all

thanks for the responses. Shock upgrade is a good shout, will look into this.
at the mo, the single battery works for me, I normally stay in range.
frame size is a large and the dropper is OK for me although I had some issue raising the seat post due to struggling to feed extra cable slack through.
not sure about wheels.. cant see much that would be an improvement for my current budget.
I had the Saints on myprevious bike but haven’t really noticed a downgrade in performance when compared with the XT.. maybe I’m not paying enough attention!

cheers,
uv
