SC Bullit - Dual Crown Fork

Has anyone tried to run a DC fork on a Bullit? I realize on the SC website it says it's not compatible but I kind of don't buy it. I just emailed them to get more info. Will post what they say here.

SC was clear that running a 230x65 would void warranty too ?

A Boxxer at 180mm would have a slightly shorter axle to crown than a 170mm Fox 38.

We did not design the carbon layup to take the side impacts from a dual crown fork- The modern DH single crown forks such as the Fox 38 and Rockshox Zeb are Excellent options however, and wont cause any issues.”

Specialized didn't appear to have designed the kenevo headstock to take a dual crown either despite fitting them as stock.
Plenty have dented their frames in crashes.
Don't think I would fancy a dual crown fork smashing into carbon though.
