On the 2021 Sam 2 can you change the flip chip setting with the 29 inch wheel if you can what does it do watched videos about this but they only change it with the 27.5 wheel

Would the tyre not rub on the rear triangle? As the wheel is moved forwards & down when the chip is flipped over.

the 29" wheel is in the top, if you want to use 27.5 wheels the axle goes in the bottom

Agree with that Paul. MsO asked if it could be flipped but keep the 29er in, as it comes forward I think it will catch.

On the trek I had you could flip it high or low with the 29 wheel in just thought could it be done with the Sam 2 but think it's only to put in the 27 wheel in

would have thought not, the axle comes forward about 15-18mm thus pushing the 27.5 wheel forward to keep the
same line (nearly) at the front of the wheel. shortens axle centres but keeps the axle height at the same position
what i can`t understand is why dont you just try it

You can not change the axle position with the 29er wheel. You can either leave in same position with 27.5 wheel and slacken the bike out or flip the chip so it shortens the chain stay and keep the head angle the same as with the 29er wheel.
