Following my recent crash which broke my 2 day old kiox head unit, where would you say the safest space on the bars is to mount the unit.

currently using the supplied setm mount. not I didn’t have a lanyard fitted that may have caused it not to break

Bought my C-dale used and the previous person broke theirs off the stem as well. I got one of those handlebar mounts and promptly ripped it competly off in a big crash. (New cables are hard to find) so I designed and 3D printed this for myself. No more issues.

After much thought about the Kiox 300 I've come to the conclusion there's no 'safest place' for it, all mounting positions are compromised and we just have to accept a hiccup or two now and a gain 🤷‍♂️

Hey guys,

If is usefull for somebody you can also just remove the kioxa 300 before going agressive.

Simply remove the kioxa and the cable that comes from the frame into the screen connect directly into the remote in my case LED Remote BRC3600.

With the white mark on the plug pointing downwards.

Like this you bypass the screen, also good to know in case you do break the screen.

IMO the top tube mount is the best for the Kiox. A special mount for the Kiox is available for the knock-block system. A small triangle shaped insert with alignment holes keeps the Kiox holder in position.

A lanyard is a good idea when you use the magnetic mount. You’re asking for trouble if you choose to use the small screw on the back for permanent mounting, unless you ride on pavement only.

Actually I am planning to move it on the tube like this mount.
