Day out with Gary at Glentress. Bit of coaching from Gary saw me tackle a couple of Black sections(my first) neither quick or pretty but feeling more confident and informed. Many thanks pal
It was a cracking ride out today, rode quite a lot I haven't done before and stretched my comfort zone a little; there were a few "Oh shiiiit!" moments and two "Oh hell no!" moments...
The top of Wasteland, looking a lot less intimidating in the sunshine;
Visiting family up in Dufftown for a couple of days, lots of local routes and some great purpose built trail centres(Glenlivet, Fochabers). I met a fellow forum member at Fochabers. Ian/Iain IIRC sorry not great with names
A few pics from my trip to Kielder Water, mostly from the Lonesome Pine trail (I seriously doubt I’d have made it up there without the help of e-power)
Back from an epic Morzine jolly
Awesome weather and hilarious banter
7 of us hired a chalet in the town centre . Drove down , mate has a 7 seater Caravelle. Hired a box trailer for bikes and kit. Loads of room .
Trails were dusty dry and plenty of variety .
5 of us had Ebikes. No problem on the lifts , even with 2.8 tyres.
Only one that was a bit of a ballache was Mont Cherrie in Les Gets
Have to push bikes up the ramp to the lift and load Ebikes in a 4 berth cradle which takes an age to arrive .
Not a massive drama just a bit slow and faffy compared to the other mega efficient lifts.
Managed to get over to Switzerland no problem riding spectacular trails on the way .
If your thinking of an Alpine jolly , just do it.
I've been fortunate to get over there a few times and it's always epic !!
