Rerouting cables after headset change

I have a 2021 Cube AT which came with the cables routed through the headset/spacers.

I’m putting on a Superstars headset and need to re-route the cables like the 2020 model.

Where can I get the side plates with the holes in and also the backing plates.

I know ebikeprints do the outers but also need the inners - is there a Cube spares site/dealer?

I have the 2020 AT and looking at the differences, all I can see is there are a couple of holes and a split in the top of the 2020's blanking plate.

I'm sure that the 2021 would have a backing plate, so I would just take it out and drill a couple of holes in to suit.

Would you be able to tell me which exact cables go through each side please?

I’m thinking dropper post cable goes across to the right side as does the rear brake line?

And the gear change cable goes to the left side with the kiox cable?

The pics above are from Cubes website, but the following are from my bike with a Superstar headset fitted

Right side
Top = Rear Brake
Bottom = Dropper post

Left side
Top = Gear cable
Bottom = Kiox Cable

I keep the cables tidy with some short pieces of spiral cable wrap

I have fitted the superstar cups in the headset this morning - the “cables thru headset” is not very well engineered.

The top bearing is the same size as the lower despite the thinner steerer tube at the top.

The difference between the id of the bearing and the steerer tube is filled by a flimsy plastic insert which has lots of cutouts for the cables - not very strong and may fail/wear....

Also my rear brake line is quite short at the handlebars so might not reach to where yours goes in the frame - I don’t really fancy fitting a new longer one!

Mine didn't come with the cables routed through the headset, but the plastic insert is similar to the one that originally came with mine except it had one big 20mm gap....It failed after 3 rides!
I modelled and 3D printed a new one with only a tiny gap in and it lasted until I found the thread linked to above and replaced the entire headset. The 3D printed one was still ok, despite it being ridden hard for a couple of months.

Must admit, I've not trimmed the cables/hoses down, but I think I will do at some point to tidy things up a bit more

@Morpheous Not sure if you've had a chance to do your cables yet, but I decided to tidy mine up today.
This time I re-routed the gear and rear brake hose to the same side the control is on.
Mine are now set up as Right side = Gear cable + Dropper, Left side = Kiox + Rear brake hose. I ended up cutting about 150mm of the factory setup gear and rear hose.

If you route yours the same, you may have enough without having to replace the entire hose/cables.
When routed like mine are now, if there is enough hose to reach the end of the brake master cylinder and enough gear cable to reach midpoint on the trigger lever, you should be good to go.
You could also run the dropper on the left as well as the stock frame blanks have 3 holes (see my second pic above).

You will have to take out the top cup to do it, but its easy enough to do.

Funnily enough I ended up doing similar- I’ve got right side - gear cable and kiox. Left side - rear brake hose and dropper post.
