There are none right? An alternative would be "SM-CRE80-12-B" from Shimano which is available in 34T and works properly with the 12 speed Shimano chain. Can't use it with the chain guide though.

People here have reported breaking their E*Thirteen direct mount chainrings at the mounting point which makes it impossible to remove going forward.

Just to confirm - The one that's on there as standard is 32T isn't it?

I'm amazed there aren't more options yet - e-bikes are heavy on chainrings.

There are other chainguide options if the Rise one doesn't clear it.

OneUp - E-BIKE - STEPS/EP8 will be good quality. Plus others listed here - New chain guide needed.... - EMTB Forums (which confirms the bcd of the EP8 guide mount is NOT ISCG)

I’m running a Shimano spider with a Wolftooth 32 ring. I can’t use the chain guide, but that’s not caused any drops. Can also get to the motor bolts easier.

So the chain guide fouls the spider? I wonder how the other chain guides miss it (theres not a lot of space there)

With the ring/spider having 4 bolts, that’s where it gets thicker compared to a direct mount chainring. There are 2 options for the Wolftooth ring, Drop stop ST is required for the newer Shimano Hyperglide + chains

For people wanting to buy non Shimano chainrings, the spider part number is

Shimano Spider for 53mm chainline: Y1VY00020
FSA Spider for 53mm chainline: CR1770 (Manufacturer Part # 380-0455000050)

as for chainrings

Wolftooth sells 104BCD,32 T, Drop-Stop ST (for Shimano12 speed) like what GTBusso stated.
RaceFace sells 104BCD, 32T for Shimano 12 speed

Gotta replace the stock chain guide for sure as it won't work with the spiders above.

Nukeproof Steps chain guide down to £20 on CRC right now. Also saw a 20% off everything for OneUp somewhere but can't see their one is worth £60 or even £40 (the NP guide/bash I just bought for another bike is just as nice as the OUp one I've got already)

Damn stupid of Orbea to design a guide that doesn't work with the shimano spider.

Pretty sure it was designed by E*Thirteen to only work with their offerings.

Has anyone fitted the RaceFace 104BCD 32T on to the Shimano Spider? I read in another forum that they are not compatible. Would really like to know. Thanks.

It will bolt up (104bcd), it just looks weird as the shimano spider's inner wings only look flush when using a shimano chainring. The RaceFace 104BCD 32T chainring for Shimano 12speed has a different profile on the tabs so looks like there's a gap.

Here's what the RaceFace 32T Shimano 12s chainring looks like on the FSA Shimano EP8 spider. Lighter too - 136 grams vs 176 grams).

Shimano spider with 34T Chainring for Shimano 12-speed (SM-CRE80-12-B)

FSA (W0154) w/ 32T RaceFace chainring (104 bcd, for Shimano 12-speed)

I kept the FSA setup as replacement chainrings for Shimano are unobtanium (Y0KJ34100) right now and it's lighter.
