I really like the RS brakes to start with... and then when they start to go, I find there is no way back. Lasted about a season on my Capra, and about 10 park days on my Tues. They are starting to go again on my Decoy. Yeah, I know I can bleed/service them, and they'll be ok again for a while, but I find that doesn't last long. One of my local bike stores calls them "RS slide".

I have Zee on my Capra, and Saint on my Tues. Was going to put Saint on the Decoy, but thought I'd post on here to see what other brakes people are liking with the Decoy.

@leftside I'm sorry to hear that. Maybe it is down to riding style and conditions. To balance your post...

I had Guide RS for just over two years on my Whyte T130 until I sold the bike. Front brake was untouched, the rear had some new pads and was bled once. The new buyer complained that both sets of pads had worn down two weeks after he bought it! (Well he did rag the arse off it on a very sandy 10-mile trail for his acceptance ride).
I also had same brakes on my Capra which I had for three years, no probs at all apart from new pads.
Based upon my personal experience, I would have no problem in buying a bike with Guide RS.

Yeah it's all good. I know others who have had no problems with them. And like I said, I do like them initially.

I had to ditch the CODE’s as well. I went with ZEE‘S.
Now I am adding the Galfer 223 rotors.
This bike is just heavier than a regular bike and carries too much speed for these brakes. It needs more beef.

The codes on mine good, just put a 223mm Galfer rotor on front, Shimano ice tec 203mm on the back and changed the pads to uberbikes matix compound.

What adapters did you need for the rotors?

For the Galfer one I bought the 223mm rotor and SB001 adapter as a kit on eBay. For the rear Shimano Ice Tec 203mm rotor, I had a spare Shamano F203-P/PM adapter already for it.

For the front 223mm rotor the SB001 adapter, no need to have spacers for it.

I've also been looking at those Galfer rotors.

Is a good improvement for the money. A lot cheaper than replacing the brakes. Plus with the Uberbike matrix pads.
