Is it possible to change region from EU to US on bosch motor?

I don't believe even an EU dealer can do it on their diagnostics, Bosch seem to have this sewn down.
I wish there was a way too as it would be a nice halfway house between squeeky clean EU compliance and a full de-restriction.

You would need the US version of the software which dealers don't have access to EMEA I heard...
