Recommend me some non-stinking shoes

I have a pair of Race Concepts EMTB flat pedal shoes.

Unfortunately, they stink like a rotting fox. They are really rancid.

Once they got wet and muddy, the stench set in and it won’t go away. I’ve washed them in the washing machine, frozen them, washed them again, sprayed them with stuff, but they still reek. The whole garage stinks. Mrs T has banished them to the shed at the end of the garden.

Are there any flat shoes that are better in the gagging stench department? I like the shoes well enough, but the smell. Gaaarrghhh.

Shimano gr9 are light and airy , not waterproof but dry quick !

Ever tried charcoal insoles? They're about £1 a pair.

It’s not my feet - honest! I have pristine feet with no fungal issues.

It’s the shoes themselves. It’s like bacteria from the mud has got into the material of the shoes and can’t be got rid of. I’ll look at the Shimano ones.

This is huge problem with climbing shoes too, these work fairly well at masking the stank and also this is pretty good.

Any boot which stops water coming in stops sweat going out. Just like old skool wellies.

I put mine in the airing cupboard once and all of the washing in there needed to be washed again.

I use this (see pic) which takes the edge off quite well.....the Sport version.

I wash my shoes 30 degrees in a laundry bag and never have a problem with them smelling, the shoes have no noticeable wear after washing either.
