I am hoping someone far more learned than I can answer this question. Does it really matter which way the rear shock is mounted? If a bike came from the factory with the Air Can mounted up near the top tube and the bottom near the seat tube, can you in theory switch it around? Will that mess the shock up or ruin the way it performs? The reason I am asking is my rear shock has the piggyback air can and if I could just turn it upside down it would alleviate a space issue I may encounter in the future if I go with Shimano's new 630wh external mount battery. Thanks in advance for any clarity given to my dilemma that I don't have just yet.
